Lex fired Chloe. If he goes missing, as has been rumored, is there any chance that Tess or whoever takes his place will re-hire her? What do you guys think?

My first instinct would be yes, they would find a way to write her back into the planet. Especially if Clark himself becomes a proactive member of the Daily Planet, though I wonder what his qualifications are for such a job. Didnt he drop out of school?

No, Chloe's storyline has really moved away from the Daily Planet I think. I don't see her going back there.

I wouldn't want her to get her job back, as I believe Chloe doesn't really have a future at the Daily Planet. I would love to see more of her working with Oliver Queen, tho, and maybe continue to run the Isis Foundation with Lana's absence.

I don't see Chloe getting rehired either. Clark, on the other hand, may get hired sometime during the season, probably near the end.

I'm not so sure she's really getting married. First of all, she didn't say yes. Second, even if she did want to say yes, as Derek said in #87, she and Jimmy might decide to shy away from getting engaged, similar to the way she and Clark decided they were still just friends in Zod. So as far as I'm concerned, the wedding isn't really an issue.

I just think it sad to see them drop journalism. Even though they did it over the course of a season, starting with Grant's comments about her lack of enthusiasm, it still felt a little sudden.

That said, I don't think she'll be back at the DP either. Unless, as someone suggested on Ksite, Oliver Queen pulls a Bruce Wayne and buys the paper out from under Tess/LuthorCorp and offers her a job.

No I wouldn't, that seems too different for even Smallville to do. I can see them working for some other newspaper for some time, but working for the DP seems to out there. I don't, maybe it's just me, but I want the very next job Clark has to be at the Daily Planet.

I doubt that Chloe will try to get job back at DP beacuse she told Clark that she wanted out anyway. We alll know that Clark definitely won't be applying to work there.
