Yes, some of this season, and things they've cited, make me do a double take. Most of Superman's lore that I can recall, and that of the movies, is that Krypton's sun went nova, and that destroyed the planet.
I'm not sure how much I like the inference that the planet was torn apart by civil war just seems to directly conflict with most of that - unless they tried to say that some aspect of the war directly led to the sun going nova.
However, all in all I have to say that I've been enjoying the show increasingly. And if, as the creators of the show stated in one interview, you apply the fact that the DC universe is a "multiverse" this can always just be seen as just one of many possible ways Clark becomes the hero we will know and love. |

My only thing about this episode and it's not specifically this episode, but it's ...Jesus, can Clark please go a long, long, long time without A. losing his abilities or B. someone stealing his abilities ?? I mean, dang.
So, what kinda consequences will Clark suffer now? Besides Kara being shipped to Michigan. Seemed like the Fortress was experiencing an earthquake type thing as the episode ended. |

I'd be happy if I would see Laura Vandervoort IN the Coast City tshirt (not the TV version). |

Clark was totally out of character when he called Lara, "Mom". Yes he wanted to see her and know her but he would never have called her Mom. He would save that for his real Mom, Martha. |

I liked that he called her mom. It would have been more weird for me if he said Lara.
I do think Clark shouldn't call Jor-El "father", atleast not until the last couple episodes . |

Good ep! I kind of wish they had left a loophole for Zor-El to come back, but that would be really against canon.
Helen Slater rocks as Lara. I agree that what was initially stunt casting, worked out better than you could expect.
I am leery about the Grant/Julian issue. In my opinion it feels like it negates some of Lex's own issues with his childhood. There have been alot of things he's done because of Julian and now that seems tossed out of the window. Granted he didn't know Julian was alive for most of his life, but... |

Hey, first off I'm new to the forums here! I heard (and loved) the podcast not too long ago and finally got registered to be a member here. Anyways...

My problem with the Grant/Julian issue is that if we are to accept that this is actually Julian, then he should be about 15 years old. I don't think that it's actually Julian, I think that he is a clone that Lex created. With the clone storyline being thrown around this season I wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed that Julian is a clone. |

Well i think Julian is a clone. I still want him to be Metallo though. But once i get a theory in my head ...its stuck there.
That dialogue from Gabriel and Lois...egad...*shudders*
But otherwise a sweet episode. I wanted Lara to do some ass-kicking though. |
