Hey everyone,

My name is Robin and I just joined the forums. I was looking far and wide for an Official Introduce Yourself thread before I plundered through the many interesting topics on your board, but I couldn't find one so I made an unofficial one.

I watched the first few episodes of Smallville when it first came out, and my fears that it was going to turn into a real soaped-up 90210ish typical freak-of-the-week not-quite-Superman show made me drop it after Metamorphosis. I had a pretty busy life back then also, so I really had no room for new shows.

I believe I picked back up right around "Run". I saw Smallville was coming back for Season 4, so I spent the first few weeks of it watching the DVDs and copying the episodes from Season 4 on my VCR, remember those? Anyway, by the time I caught up, I must have slapped my forehead at least a dozen times for losing track of this show when it first came out. (I'm starting to think I may have to do the same thing for Supernatural, but I haven't even given one episode of that a try, just because I have this Jason Teague allergy). Smallville is such an awesome show!!

I got my first iPod I believe a year and a half ago and once I found out about podcasts, I subscribed to all of the podcasts for each of my favorite shows. I have to say, House of El and other SHoE-spawned mutant children, like 10th Wonder and Skynext, have become popular plays on my drives back and forth to work. I've been hearing so much about the forums that I felt like it would be a good place to hang out, and it looks like there are a lot of cool people here too! And I like that the hosts aren't too stuck on themselves to pop in. It's good to see some of our old favorites in here, too!

So, yeah, I've been waiting a long time to say this to you all, but:

Hey everyone,

I want to contribute to this thread since I also wanted to introduce myself to the forums. I have been listening to SHoE podcast for a couple of months now and have been enjoying it every week. I found out about it through my season 6 dvd extras (which i finally got to a few months back) and wanted to see what everyone else thought about my favorite show on television today.

Aside from SHoE, I have been an official Smallville fan for over 2 years now. I would see the show on from time to time since it began and would just skip it thinking it was like Dawsons Creek or something and not realizing that it was a pre-superman show (for some reason I didn't put Smallville and Superman together...duh). But I caught a re-run of Obscura as I was channel surfing and heard the name Clark Kent. So I turned back and enjoyed the episode. Then I forgot about it! Fast Forward to 2006 and I was home and saw a marathon for season 4 on the ABC Family channel. I was stuck on the couch and couldn't get enough.

From then on, I was a fan. Bought all of the dvds, caught up, wikipedia, the whole nine yards. Now I still can't get enough Smallville. I even went as far as watching every episode from the Pilot till Persona during my winter break this year (142 episodes in less than 30 days)! So you can call me a fan.

I'd like to get to know my fellow Smallville fans and talk about the show as well as anything Superman/DC/Marvel(if you chose)/comics and games.

On a personal note, I am a senior in college with a major in Video Game Development. I am graduating this May with a couple of small projects and mods under my belt. I love games, comics, technology, fun, sports, you name it.

I hope to be a good fit to this forum and have fun talking about Smallville!

Good idea Robin! I too was lookin for a place to introduce myself....
To make a long story short, I was flippin through the channels one afternoon and Smallville on---I had heard of it and thought "why not?" so I watched it----the ep was Red, it was a repeat. I loved the show instantly, recorded every rerun and new eps (season 6) that came on until I bought the seasons, which I watched in a very short time, cause they were awesome!
About halfway through my "journey" through the SV story, I found Starkville on iTunes, and gave it a try, since I was just discovering podcasts and thought they were cool.----I loved the podcast from first listen, cause I learned so much from listening to them and I always got a laugh, even if I didn't know what I was laughing about cause Derek's laugh is so infectious, lol!
Anyhoo, thought i would give the forums a try----liken it so far, and happy to be here!
I LOVE SMALLVILLE----it is the only show that I have ever followed ep to ep, and i love STARKVILLE! keep up the awesome work guys!

Hi everyone. I've been listening to SHoE since the explicit days (Hysterical!) This is my first day on the forums and my second post. I love reading everything you all talk about. It's nice to read NICE things about Smallville, etc. I get tired of reading only negative ones. I'm trusting Derek and Steve that this is a nice, friendly place. I love all of the Starkville podcasts and wish there were more. Yes, I do understand that Derek and the guys need a life, I just can't get enough. Oh and the new website designs are great!

I think we have a name for the episode 1-18 anthology available at Comic Con. Epic.
