True, Steve, true...

The thing I dig about this forum is that we can all have our different opinions without trashing others views as well. So if you think the end of Smallville should be different that what someone else envisions then there is no need to make negative comments about the others vision of the end. Lets all just throw around our ideas and be nice to each other.

I think it would be cool for Derek's idea or a variation on it. A hint at the future without really showing anything. I could dig that. I think if they did go with the whole showing Tom in the suit I would have them recreate the scene from the first movie where the training is going on and at the end we see a figure in the Superman suit and he takes off flying past the camera and then cut to black. Hearing Stamp do the whole training of Kal-El monologue would be sweet. Anything more than that would be a little much though.

I like the idea of seeing some of the training, esp with Stamp's voice involved, and so forth. And I think the figure in the Superman suit would make a good ending. Maybe the last half of the episode could be leading up to that? Very Happy

I've never really been a believer in the idea that after 12 years, you would be forgotten. I mean, I graduated from high school 12(+) years ago and I still remember people. I can remember outfits, hair, faces, voices, names. And, I didn't even know these people, and probably only saw them once a day or once or twice a week in a classroom.

So, I don't really believe this line of reasoning...never have. lol Unless Jor-El is able to make the whole world catch amnesia. Very Happy

It's like the whole glasses/no glasses thing...I've heard the theory that Superman can vibrate very, very fast, so photographs are never clear...but then, the Daily Planet always has lovely, clear shots of our man Supes. lol

Ahh, but the mythos has lots of little ?s...it's just the nature of the beast. Smile

I'm thinking that in the end of Smallville, Jor-El must be able to cause some sort of amnesia or something...Lois, Chloe, Lex...they wouldn't just forget Clark. I mean, Lex isn't EVER going to forget Clark...he's only been obsessed with him for 7 years. ;)

I 'm sorry but if I don't see Clark at least hold the Superman suit or fly then most of me will hate Smallville. I have watched Smallville since the first episode and have ever since loved it. Superman is my favorite hero. If I don't see the Superman suit beinbg made or see him fly then part of me will hate Smallville. Oh yea I loved Derek's idea. I support Derek that Smallville should end way he said it.

I'm pretty sure that Jor-El is the reason why no one remembers Clark later. Even in the movie, the way he states that "Everyone who knew you will have forgotten you" says to me that he is making that happen. Wink
