Size 12 is Not Fat was recently optioned for a television series by ABC Family. The Mediator series has been optioned by Julia Pistor (Spiderwick Chronicles). And Queen of Babble has been optioned as a feature film by Jeffrey Sharp of Sharp Entertainment.
How To Be Popular was recently optioned by MTV for a TV movie/series, and film rights to Avalon High went to Disney Channel.

And in other other news:
They're making a HBO series of the Charlaine Harris Vampire books (these are the books I talked about earlier on this thread). There are ads for "Tru Blood" on Kryptonsite's home page - that's the synthetic blood the vamps drink in the books, or you can check out the HBO site for more info. It's being done by the people who created "Six Feet Under". Anna Paquin is the lead. I can't wait! |

I'm so looking forward to that. I went to their panel at Comic-Con having not read the books yet and they actually gave away the first book in the series. I read it while waiting in various lines over the weekend there and I loved it. I can't wait to see the show. I totally love Anna Paquin, "Six Feet Under", HBO and vampires... so this show is pretty much a must-see thing for me this fall. |
