As long as they are holding hands too. In a tribute to Buffy, they can sing a duet.

Look, if it ends with Lex being.. Lex, I'm going to be partly sad cause he won't always be around in season 8... at this point.

Steve's idea is gold. Except for the lifeless part.

I have a feeling it will end with something about Lex, if Rosenbaum won't be back for awhile.

Lex going out to explore the world and losing all contact?

-- Clark in the Fortress, kneeling over Lex with a crystal in one hand, ready to thrust it down into his chest.

-- Lex lying beneath Clark, wide-eyed, wondering if Clark's finally gonna have the marbles to do it.

-- Lana, packing, preparing to leave SV for good, and now realizing that with her being near him, Clark will never step up and be the person Jor-El reminds him he will be.

-- Kara*, smiling ominously from a distance, waiting for Kal-El to take the step towards becoming the anti-hero Clark mentioned he would become if he took out Lex (when speaking to Chloe in Quest).

-- Kara, the actual Kara, floats along in space in her uncle's beautifully-landscaped (lol) Phantom Zone.

-- The Fortress AI (Jor-El) prepares to bring this several season-long test of Kal-El's development into the future savior of Earth to an end, with a very fanboy-phenomenal "unique" reversal of time and possibly (dare I say) reversal of the planet on...its...axis...?

It can't end with Lex because every season has the last shot of Clark before the cliffhanger, and he's always been alone

Season 1 -- Runs into a tornado
Season 2 -- Drives off, away from Smallville
Season 3 -- Sucked into the cave wall and being "reformatted"
Season 4 -- By himself in the Arctic and throws the crystal to form FOS
Season 5 -- Flying into space within the portal to the PZ
Season 6 -- Spinning out of control after the fight with Bizarro
Season 7 -- So many things I don't know where to start, I hope its as good as the last 4!!

Not saying it won't end with Clark but "Veritas" was originally ending with a shot of Lex.

I believe that the Lana scene of the "Arctic" Trailer is a breakup video to Clark and she's leaving for the time being. But Lana will be right back in Smallville in Season 8 just like what happened in Season 7 exactly. Because the're using Lana leaving for the time being as the clifhanger that was mentioned in the description.

The S7 Fianle endng was Terrible. After all of that ice falling down, you already know that Lex is Dead since it said in the Audio Trailer from the "Arctic" episode, "Only one will Survive". Which is confusing only because the whole purpose of Lex getting a hold of the device was to Control Clark and he can't do that if he's dead, so it's like the entire story plot was Pointless.

I highly doubt either of Clark or Lex is dead. I don't know where that audio came from as I don't recall ever hearing that, but it's just inaccurate CW marketing....again. Which could be from the climax editing that I suspect they did to put Lex in next season's premiere.

The Audio Trailer was played in the "Quest" SHoE podcast.
