The world weeps even more now that it's official.

With Rosenbaum's swan song on the horizon, will we see a huge final action-packed battle between Lex & Clark? And with the talk of Clark wearing the Superman tights, what about Lex? Will we see him wear that green suit that gives him powers in the comics? Well, at least a real world version of the suit. His character wore it on the Super Friends & on the Justice League. Hopefully, he will go out with a blast.....

I like Michael Rosenbaum as Lex, but I think they have really developed the character over the past 7 years to his full extent. He is completely dark now and I think it may be best if he leaves next season. We have other who will come in as the bad guy. I feel if he stays it'll be too long and they will write him crappy stuff just because hes there. But the main thing is, I haven't read spoilers nor do I want to so please to write anything spoilery if you know, but Lex is in the Arctic obviously from the trailer for Arctic, how are they gonna write him out if he goes? Is that going to be the cliffhanger? Lex in the Arctic with Clark in a grave situation? But then Season 8 comes and they are like ya Lex had to go...lol idk I'm sure they'll figure it out.

I'm not sure how they could include Lex in a cliffhanger, then not have him in next season's premiere. You can't just write off someone like Lex without a proper send off. So either Lex won't be a part of the cliffhanger, and they send him off prior to the last act, or he'll be back for the premiere. That's my theory.

I hope they do Lex Luthor justice and don't pull a Martha Kent kind of goodbye. You know?

well with the trailer of him in the arctic is that the end of the eppy or the beginning? did they know before they shot the eppy he wouln't come back possibly?

ugh! I just can't understand how they can have a Superman story without Lex Luthor. It's gonna be weird. Hopefully, they will focus mostly on mythology next year and less on filler eps... I'll miss Lex. I hope he comes back for an eppy or so though.

I don't know how I feel about season 8. Maybe they should have ended it this season.

I still have faith as long as Tom, Erica, and the new showrunners (but seasoned producers/writers/directors) are still involved.

I was just watching a few episodes from season 1 and I dread the day that I see a Smallville intro without the great MR. Oh boy...
