I wanna get this so bad after what I heard on SHoE. I haven't gotten much into comics. I have enjoyed some Ultimate Spiderman, but hardly even kept up with that ( Embarassed I know), but I like this cause it's one graphic novel, not a continuing thing I gotta keep up with. Any thoughts?

For some reason the only comics I've ever got into are the Green Arrow graphic novels. I really need to start reading different ones. I guess Kingdom Come would be a good start!

oh definitly check out kingdom come. I'd also recomend: "Marvels" it has the same alex ross art and is very good, and "DC The new frontier" cause its one of the greatest graphic novels of all time.

I could go on and on about good GN to get....but let's see here.....

Kingdom Come, 52 Vol 1-4, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: The Long Halloween, JL: The New Froniter, Green Lantern Rebirth, and when it comes out: The Sinesto Corps War.

Also-on a different note, each and everyone one of you on this forum should read Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons-one of the best GN ever written-if not the best one ever written.

I have never gotten into comics either but i recently bought Kingdom Come after listening to SHoE (it's all you're faults Steve And Derek) and I am gonna read it in a weeek on the plane ride to Florida when I go. I have heard insane things about this.

Kingdom Come is the ultimate DC book out there. It all comes together folks. Story, art, characters, and mood.
I have all the original issues of the book but had to buy the Absolute Edition this year. Hands down the best version of the book so far.

I was at comic con for the premier of Superman / Doomsday and after the flick there was a little Q and A. Someone asked if there would be a Kingdom Come flick and the panel didn't want to answer yes or no at the time which leads me to believe that it may be on the books if the rest of the movies do well.

Aww Superclerk for a second there I thought you called me sweet!

I am finished and I thought it was fantastic. The art work is beautiful. I really liked the different spin on Superman, the way that it was written really conveyed a different tone and introspectiveness that I . It was fabulous. I just loved at the end when the male waiter is dressed up as Superman with a wig (or Supergirl?), Superhero themed restaurants, I am so totally there.

In the scene where everyone is breaking out of the sphere, Alex Ross drew Spiderman, Thor, and Captain America flying out of that sphere. I think Derek mentioned it back in the winter. (can't remember which ep)

This may be accepted common knowledge, but I still think it's cool to be in there
