Hey guys, I've always wondered what religion Superman and other heroes like Batman and Spider-man are. Growing up in rural Kansas and with the episode "Lara" it would seem the Kents are Christians. If anyone should have a spiritual side to them, it would be superheroes as they are the ones who most believe in a better tomorrow. Just thought I'd ask because I'm curious about this and you guys are the experts.

I think for the most part they never specify things like religious preference just so there's less of a chance that one group will feel alienated over another if they were to do that.

In the comics, the Kents attend a local Methodist church. However, in some continuities, from what I understand, Superman worships Kryptonian pagan deities such as Rao, the sun god. It depends on which continuity you like better. Personally, the idea of his as a Methodist seems more natural for someone growing up in rural Kansas. if i had to guess a religion for batman....i would say he's an atheist. With so much being robbed from him at such a young age, and him feeling that the only way to solve those problems were for him to take it upon themselves. I find it hard for batman to believe in God.

Batman believes in Batman.

Superman believes in God and is catolic or christian but he just doesn't go to church. I''ve read this in some comics. Its never been told if Batman even believes in God. Spiderman is catolic, that I know.
