What is the purpose of Lana's return in Season 8 for a few episodes if she said Goodbye to Clark in the season 7 Finale "Arctic"?!?

I see not point of it.

she's still a part of Clark's life. and if they go the comic book route, then they're going to become good friends.

I kind of think she has to come back for atleast an episode or two. They built up that story for 7 years and they really need a better conclusion than what we got at the end of the season.

I agree with Super Kara, I think it's a great time to say goodbye to Lana.

Thx marlo176. I mean Lana and Clark won't be together anyway as far as we all know right now anyway. If I'm right about that, how is Clark seeing Lana's face again suppose to help Clark move on to be with someone else before he with the one (Lois)?!

Umm in the comics, Lana goes back and forth to Smallsville. Lana years later, stays in Smallville for good and sometimes still visits Martha.

LOL was that suppose to be sarcastic or were you serious you didn't know. LOL Lana is everywhere in the comics. Lana in Smallville will probably come back to spend some time with her friends before leaving.

Yes . . . . She is very clingy. She probably has as much trouble staying out of Smallville as Michael Jordan did staying out of basketball.

Seriously though, they have beat her storyline down into the ground. She deserves a better send-off than what happened in the Season Finale.

And I still have a beef with just where the heck she got a camcorder at the hospital. What, did she make a stop at a Walmart then came back to use the hospital background for ambiance?

"Hi, I just woke up from a coma. What's your return policy on camcorders? I'm only going to use it once."

Lana used the same camcorder from Season 2 from when she broke up with Whitney by sending him a video.

Yeah it's in her bag of break-up tools. (along with the dynamite)
