Everyone, you need to go see this movie. It. Is. AMAZING!

It really blows Superman: Doomsday out of the water....And I liked SVery Happy!

The only complaint I have is....

[Spoilers!]

In the end, how its really GL who saves the day, I think it would have been better if it was Superman and Green Lantern who does it. Mainly for two reasons; 1. They got rid of Superman WAY to soon and 2. This movie was all about team work, right? Well...

yeah.

Then again...I really did like this GL...a lot. Like enough to make me into a Hal Jordon fan.

[End of Spoilers!]

But thats just me being me. All in all, I really, really liked this movie. The art was amazing it fit into the PG13 rating really well (it wasn't going out of its way to get it like just randomly shooting someone), they showed blood (which makes it a lot more realistic for me), and we got to see everyone just start out.

So stop reading this and go watch it!

I agree 100%! This movie was awesome and definitely blew Superman: Doomsday out of the water. The animation was amazing and this movie definitely earned it’s PG-13 rating. I loved how it showed how Hal Jordan came to be Green Lantern. I don’t thing we’ve ever seen that in animation form before. I did definitely like how Hal Jordan seemed to be the center piece of the story. Perhaps Timm and the crew did this knowing that fans were sick and tired of seeing Jordan get the shaft left and right in animation shows and movies. My only gripe about this move was that Superman wasn’t in it enough. But besides that, 5 stars!! Must see!!!

Now I haven't read the GN, but I am sure that Darwin Cooke (the author of the GN) wrote Hal to be one of the major characters in the story.

Thoughts: A little bit more bloody then I thought it was going to be, but man the story is fantastic! It really makes me what to go and pick up the GN to compare. I also like the way that Superman was kinda of "the government" so to speak, thinking just the way that Government did was an interesting take on the character.

Best line? Something to the effect of "I have a 6.5 million dollar rock to stop the one from Metropolis, all I need is a penny for a book of matches to stop you." (Batman to Martain Manhunter)

All and all though, good stuff.

That line from the movie was definitely something Batman would say. I don't know about the voice of Batman though. kind of on the fence about that.

I think Sisto was an awesome Batman. His voice was perfect not too monotone and not too over the top...

I agree, Hawkeye. I think all of the voice casting was really well done. And Lucy Lawless was a spot on Wonder Woman.

Just watched it thought it was awesome. David Boreanaz did a great Hal Jordan voice.

I think the reason that Superman wasn't billed as the top hero in the story was that Cooke was focusing more on the original Justice League. Superman didn't come into the picture until later but he was inspiring none the less. I recommend reading the GN if you haven't already.
The movie was far above what Superman / Doomsday was and I hope that they get better from here.

I really enjoyed the film, especially how they introduced the Martian & the extra feature where they talk about the JLA's history. But Aquaman gets no love at all.
