Any of Frank Miller's Batman's, Sin City, The Death (and Return) of Superman, Batman: Under the Hood, Batman: The Long Halloween just to name a few off the top of my head right now. |

The New Frontier, Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Long Halloween, Superman: Man of Steel, Superman: Birthright, Superman: Secret Identity....
and for stuff that's not DC I recommend Invincible, The Walking Dead, and Y: The Last Man |

All of the Planetary books are killer.
Identity Crisis, Justice... I am a big fan of the Bizarro Anthologies...some really funny stuff in those. |

Just finished Batman- "Dark Victory"- fantastic. Also there is the Green Lantern Corps series, Superman- "Red Son" is unlike any other Superman story I've read. Supergirl- "Candor", and Wolverine Origins are good too. If you're into crazy, grand scale, battle of the cosmos type stories, Defenders- "Indefensible" is a good one. |

I absolutely loved "Batman: Hush", "Watchmen", "Batman: Year One", "Batman: Dark Victory" and "Identity Crisis". I just finished the series "52" which I also really liked... I love The Question and it was really interesting to follow all these characters other than the big iconic ones. |

Did you like the original Question or are you liking the Montoya Question? The original Question has some great comics out there that I recommend looking for at the local comic shop. Some of his books may have been collected in a trade but I'm not sure. Look around for them though. |

I like both of them. I've already ordered the follow-up series with Montoya as The Question called "The Question: The Five Books of Blood" because I'm trying to read as much of the more recent stuff as possible. (I'm sort of trying to catch up to what's going on in the DCU right now and I'd also like to see what happens next after "52" which I just finished.)
But the original Question does have a few trades out that collect his stories from the 80s. "The Question: Zen and Violence", "The Question: Poisoned Ground" and "The Question: Epitaph for a Hero" (although that last one hasn't been released yet). They're all in my Amazon cart just waiting for me to proceed to check out. |

Cool. I might pick those up as well since I have holes in my collection that I can't seem to fill. |

Everyone should go pick up the Black Canary Archives Vol. 1....
it's got ALL of BC's early appearances...from the VERY beginning in the Johnny Thunder feature in Flash Comics...
it's so amazing...
While your at it check out the rest of the Archives series.
They have several volumes for Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman.... |
