I like Jason Statham, The Bank Job was excellent, I just can't see him as Daredevil. He might be able to do it, but he is'nt what I picture when I imagine what Matt Murdock looks like. But I felt the same way when Christian Bale was casted as Batman, and that turned out well.

I don't know if I'll get laughed at for this suggestion, but I'd kind of like to see Matthew Fox play Matt Murdock

Hey, after his role as Racer X, I could see it.

Daredevil should be played by Stevie Wonder. That's method!

K-man, K-man, K-man, that's not how his power works...it's not super hearing...it's hearing so heightened that it's a radar sense, so, his mind literally process images based on what sound waves bounce of. So, the effect was pretty accurate. Watch the scene when he chases Quesada into the subway. He uses his billy club to ping the area. As the sound fades off, the world goes dark again. It works. The sound of a rain drop...something people really can't hear when it hits someone's skin...allows him to "see" things more accurately.

Erego....proper use of powers...fitting effects.

damn it steve! now i'm gonna go rent daredevil and proabably like it. It is pretty hard to show radar I admit I always just pictured him picturing in his head what was happening. What bothered me was that the movie made it look like what he saw in his head was a physical reaction, but I always saw it as something he pictured by himself. sigh. I'll rent it again and watch it.

Get the director's cut. Not the theatrical. The DC is just a better movie.

Also, that's fine if that's how you thought about the power, but when the comics describe him as having a radar sense due to his heightened hearing, I'm pretty sure that was a good interpretation of the power.

I liked how the power was portrayed in the flick.
My favorite scene though was when he came home and had to get out of the suit and swallow a handful of pain killers and pulled out his tooth. It was how I see these heroes who aren't bulletproof coming home at night and having to deal what they put their bodies through. A scene like this is what should have been in a Batman movie. They have done stuff that is close to it but not as brutal as was shown in the Daredevil movie.

I think a new film could work as long as Fox does not screw it up. The PG13 cut of the first movie was terrible but luckily the DC came out which was much much imporved.

Actually Ben Affleck said he would only return if Kevin Smith directed it. I have Daredevil on dvd, its a good movie to watch. Daredevil also awesome fight scenes. The Director who did the movie at the time was just coming up. Thats a good movie if you are a up and coming Director. What other villians does Daredevil have for a second movie anyway?
