That's what Smallville does, they kill off my favorite characters (i.e. Papa Kent and Alica). But thats why I love them! They know how to create realistic drama!

She must live!!!

I don't know if I would want her in the comics as they wouldn't get the character right anyway.
I also wouldn't mind it either. It doesn't seem likely though since they have canceled the appearance twice now.
