I had an Idea, if WB would have allowed it, on how to make Bruce Wayne a part of smallville complete with an exit strategy. What if Bruce Wayne was introduced into smallville after he was already batman or at least close to becoming the persona. He is a rival of Lex, and his parents were a part of the veritas clan. Bruce (somehow) discovers that Clark is the traveler and competes with Lex for the object that controls the traveler, thus defeating Lex for the omegahedron and preventing Lex from knowing that Clark is the traveler. This would enrage Lex even more once superman becomes a reality and how close he was at one time to controlling him. Bruce/Batman would push Clark closer to having a superhero persona eventually become friends. Bruce would then have the omegahedron in the cave for situation that Clark/supes would need to be controlled. It would kind of be a nod to the fact that Batman always had Green-K if he needed it. This was just an idea I had, so I'm sure it's filled with holes, but still could make sense as far as the Superman storyline goes.
Destroy it if you like, I have no feelings to hurt. |

Interesting idea but I don't feel that Bruce needs to know Clarks identity just yet.
Plus Lex isn't in the cast anymore. |

it was an idea that would have been cool for seas 7. not looking forward, but just looking back at how maybe the could have done it if allowed. |

I think an appearence by Hal Jordan is more possible than Mr. Wayne, although that would be awesome no doubt. |

That would have been really cool Mose. I actually like this better than what happened. Batman figures out Supes identity later on anyway so Bruce learning about Clark at this stage is easier for me to swallow than Lex finding out. I don't think I'm going to like the hoops that must be jumped through for Lex to forget about what Clark is, Wayne knowing would be way more fun. |

No, I would agree that this idea is interesting and has a lot of validity to it. I just wish it was something we could see happen. In a perfect world we could have Christian Bale but that's just the consistency in me speaking. |
I knew it was something we would never see, but would have been totally awesome if it did....imagine what the ratings would have been .."Batman on smallville...and he controls the destiny of the Superman" |

I think it is not only a great idea...but would have been a lot better than the way they ended with "Arctic". Every fan of Smallville knew that Michael was not returning for next season...why end it with him holding Clark in a quivering death grip saying goodbye while the Fortress crumbles down around them? I realize that Miller and Gough...who are also not returning next season...took more than a few liberties with the Superman story and history but please!!! We know that Lex ends up as Superman's number one nemesis...that is until Doomsday arrives...but Lex also has no idea of who Clark Kent is either. He hates Superman...despises Superman...wants to destroy Superman...no knowledge or even regard for anyone named Clark Kent. The whole Bruce Wayne idea would have worked...but as they say, hind sight is always 20/20 and it is too late now. As a life long fan of Superman it took me a long time to warm up to Smallville and it became the show my family gathered around the television to watch every week...it made my children fans of Superman just like the series featuring George Reeves did for me. Now, we will wait...and figure whether or not the series is even the same now that they have cliffed it as they have, wait...for Doomsday to "save" the day? |
