As we all know, Al and Miles pushed hard for their show to see an eighth and final season to bring all their storylines to a close, including Clark's journey. Between seasons six and seven, my friend Ed Gross over at VoicesFromKrypton.com interviewed Al and Miles about the new season and beyond.

Now a lot of this is meaningless now, because Al and Miles not being a part of the show anymore means their original vision probably won't be happening. Todd, Darrenn, Brian, and Kelly are now in charge of pushing Clark to Superman and coming up with a new ending to the series since Al and Miles' original ending wasn't made public knowledge.

Some interesting stuff from that interview includes:

The Lex and Lois comic book style cat and mouse game

Clark flying for real after several training attempts.

Just thought it would be interesting to see how all this fits into a season that "technically" won't be happening anymore.

That needs to happen.

You know while I love the direction Al and Miles have taken this series, I'm kinda happy that a corner has been turned. Season 7 was great, but I'm glad that they are moving away for the Kara story. With two potential Supes around it was getting kind of crowded, of course I'd still love looking at her. I'm even a little excited about "Tess". I was bummed when Michael announced that he was leaving but I think a new female lead who plays the villain will be fun. Really the only thing on that list that I hope will come to fruition is Clark flying, but that could get pricey I'm sure. If it comes down to Clark flying a bunch and the quality of the show dropping because they ran out of money or no fly but good quality I rather he never fly. I hope this is more of what you were looking for Derek.
